UPS ↔ Microsoft Dynamics GP Integration
Fulfilment in GP SOP automatically books the UPS consignment — labels print from the despatch screen, tracking numbers and actual freight costs write back to the GP document. No WorldShip re-keying, no shipping-cost surprises.
Discuss Your GP Shipping SetupWhy Integrate UPS Directly into GP
No Re-keying
Orders fulfilled in GP SOP automatically create UPS consignments — no copying addresses or weights into WorldShip, no transcription errors.
Freight Costs Captured
Actual UPS charges write back to the GP order/invoice so margin reporting reflects real shipping cost, not estimates.
Audit-Ready
Every consignment links GP document → tracking number → delivery proof. Carrier disputes and customer queries resolve in minutes.
What the Integration Does
Who It's For
Distribution & Wholesale
B2B distributors shipping parcels against GP sales orders — despatch desk prints the UPS label from GP, tracking is on the order before the truck leaves.
Ecommerce on GP
Web orders flowing into GP SOP get UPS labels booked automatically, tracking numbers pushed back to the storefront's confirmation email.
Multi-Site Fulfilment
Multiple GP warehouses each with their own UPS account/shipper number — routing rules pick the right shipper per site.
How We Deliver
Discover
We map your GP shipping methods, box weights/dimensions, UPS services and current despatch workflow — most GP installs need no schema changes.
Build & Test
The connector runs against a copy of your GP company. We test with live UPS test credentials, then a controlled pilot on real despatches.
Go Live
Cut over one site at a time. Monitoring dashboard shows bookings, writebacks and exceptions; typical go-live in 2–4 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which GP versions does this support?
Any supported Dynamics GP release (GP 2015 onward through the modern lifecycle). The integration writes via eConnect and reads via documented SQL/eConnect calls, so it survives GP upgrades — important if you're staying on GP past mainstream support.
Does it work with UPS WorldShip or the UPS API?
We integrate via the UPS API directly — no dependence on the WorldShip desktop client. If you currently print labels from WorldShip, the connector replaces that step; if you have a WorldShip-only workflow you want to keep, we can also interface via WorldShip's ODBC import.
What happens if a booking fails (bad address, weight mismatch)?
Failed bookings go to an exception queue with the reason — they don't silently skip. The despatch operator sees the failure in GP, fixes the address or weight, and retries with one click.
Can it handle international consignments?
Yes — customs fields (commodity/HS codes, country of origin, EORI, invoice value) pull from GP item and debtor records. Paperless trade (Paperless Invoice) is supported where the UPS account allows.
