How does the agent connect without opening ports?+
The agent only makes outbound connections — like your browser visiting a website. It establishes a persistent encrypted tunnel to our sync service using modern UDP-based transport, so it works behind NAT, firewalls, and changing IP addresses with zero network configuration.
Why not just use the QuickBooks Web Connector?+
Web Connector polls on a schedule, only runs while a specific Windows user is logged in, times out after 2 minutes, and fails silently — you often find out days later from your accountant. Our agent runs as a Windows service, syncs in real time, survives reboots, and reports its own health.
What happens if the PC is switched off?+
Stripe events queue safely on our side and the agent replays them in order when the machine comes back online. Nothing is lost or duplicated — every transaction is matched idempotently against what's already in the company file.
Which Desktop editions and countries are supported?+
QuickBooks Desktop Pro, Premier, and Enterprise (2019 and later) on Windows — UK, US, Canadian, and Australian editions. Regional tax (US sales tax, VAT, GST), multicurrency, and Stripe Tax are all handled through configurable mapping. The agent talks to QuickBooks through the official SDK — no hacks, no screen-scraping.
