QuickBooks Desktop for Mac is discontinued — does this still work?+

Yes. The dashboard reads the company file (Mac or Windows editions). If the file itself still opens in QuickBooks on the machine that hosts it, the agent can read it and publish it to your Mac browsers.

Do we need a Windows PC?+

For viewing: no — the dashboard is a normal website, Safari on any Mac works. The company file does need to live somewhere QuickBooks can open it (an existing Windows box, an old Mac running legacy QB, or your accountant's machine).

Is this a migration to QuickBooks Online?+

No — the opposite. Your company file stays exactly where it is, in the format it is. We're a read layer, not a migration.

What if we later switch to Xero or QuickBooks Online?+
