Sage Accounting API Integration
Sage Business Cloud Accounting has a real REST API — invoices, contacts, payments, ledgers. We build the integrations and automations it was designed for, including the parts Sage left undocumented.
Discuss Your API ProjectInvoice & Payment Sync
Create, retrieve and reconcile sales/purchase invoices programmatically — auto-post payments and match them to invoices.
Two-Way Sync
Contacts, products, stock and ledger data kept consistent between Sage Accounting and your other systems.
OAuth & Token Lifecycle
Private or marketplace apps — we handle registration, consent flow, refresh-token rotation and secure credential storage.
Custom Integrations
Sage Accounting to CRM, e-commerce, job systems, field service apps — wherever Zapier's depth runs out.
Middleware & Webhooks
Webhook receivers, event queues, mapping layers and monitoring around the API — integrations that survive edge cases.
Reporting & Exports
Automated extracts — aged debt, VAT figures, transaction listings — pushed to dashboards, spreadsheets or your data warehouse.

Sage Accounting API FAQ
Does Sage Accounting have a proper API?+
Yes — unlike Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud Accounting has a documented REST API at developer.sage.com: OAuth 2.0, JSON, endpoints for contacts, invoices, payments, products, ledgers and bank transactions. It's a real integration platform, just under-documented in places.
What can you build on the Sage Accounting API?+
Invoice creation and sync, contact/ledger automation, payment posting and reconciliation, product/stock sync, reporting extracts, and bridging to systems with no Sage connector — your CRM, e-commerce, job management or bespoke software.
We have Sage One — is that the same?+
Sage One was rebranded to Sage Business Cloud Accounting (now just 'Sage Accounting'). Same product, same API. If you're on Sage One, everything here applies.
Can you build a private app for just our company?+
Yes — internal OAuth app scoped to your Sage company only, no marketplace listing needed. We handle the app registration, token lifecycle and hosting; you just use the integration.
What are the API's limits?+
Rate limits and some missing endpoints (payroll, some reporting). We work around them with caching, batching and complementary data methods — and we'll tell you upfront if your requirement hits a real gap.
