Can I give more than statutory?

Yes — the contract can demand longer notice. Statutory is a floor, not a ceiling. Probation often specifies one week.

What about notice pay?

You're paid normally through notice — or offered pay in lieu (PILON) to leave immediately. Garden leave = notice served but sent home.

Redundancy notice different?

Same statutory minimums — 1 week per year, max 12. Redundancy pay is separate and on top of notice pay.
