A142/A193 mesh sheets are quicker for slabs ≤150mm — rebar for thicker, point-loaded or structural work. Mesh needs 300mm lap; bars need ~40×diameter lap.

Spacing guidance?

300mm c/c for patios and footings, 200mm for driveways and anything vehicle-bearing, 150mm for structural slabs — check the spec.
